Taking an idea from your mind and putting it down on paper are the first steps in creating a one of a kind jewelry piece. At M. Rahal Jewelers, Mounir can sketch up your vision giving you the visualizations needed to ensure you get what you want. This entire process is held in-house every step of the way.
Typically, the development of a custom piece of jewelry begins with a consultation with our full-time jeweler. This meeting will give Mounir the opportunity to artistically visualize your idea so that he is best equipped with cues on how to shape your very own custom piece.
After the initial sketch of your piece, the next step is crafting from scratch digitally via CAD software. CAD, or “Computer-Aided-Design,” software makes it possible to craft your custom jewelry in 3D space precisely down to even the most minute details.
Once the 3D model is completed and you are satisfied with the look, we then move forward with creating a mold to create a plastic prototype model of the custom piece. From here you are able to visualize in real-space your very own special custom jewelry before it is casted—using precious metals and outfitted with gems of your choosing. You will also be able to finalize overall costs as well as make any final changes to the piece before creation begins.
